About Our School
Our Vision and Mission
At P.S. 304, The Early Childhood Lab School, we welcome and embrace children from a myriad of cultural, social, and religious backgrounds. Our primary goal is to open and educate young minds and instill a lifelong love of learning. Our school environment nurtures tolerance, equity, acceptance of others, and acceptance of oneself. We work hard to build a well-rounded educational foundation. At the cornerstone are effective, committed, talented driven teachers who inspire students to improve academically and to push their own creative, physical, and intellectual boundaries.
The social and emotional development of every child is of much concern to our school community as academics. All members of the school community (administration, teachers, and parents) are single-minded in the goal of providing optimal learning for students to ensure that they reach their full potential.
Our Dragonfly Mascot
Dragonflies are born in the water and begin to grow there, but then they move into the air and learn to fly. Dragonflies also have incredible flight patterns and are able to change their direction of flight quickly without much effort. They look effortless as they glide and fly through the air.
The dragonfly symbolizes wisdom, change, transformation, light, and adaptability in life. It shows up in people’s lives to remind them that they need to bring lightness and joy to their life. The dragonfly is also a symbol of the “realm of emotions” from joy and happiness to melancholy, sadness, anger, jealousy, and all the other emotions. It´s also considered a symbol of transformation because of the way that it grows.
Uniform Policy
- You can pick up two emblems at any point in the school starting August 25th, 2022 from 9:00 - 1:00 PM.
- If you would like to purchase more, they cost $3.00 each or two for $5.00.
- They can be applied to ANY navy blue top (sweater, hoodie, etc.) to show school pride!
