Family-School Partnership for College Readiness

Taught by Melissa Ramos, Deputy Superintendent, HS Districts 8, 10 & 11

  

Families will be invited to participate in an overview of the college application process throughout the 6-12 grade levels. School Counselors specializing in college support will join as panelists and provide tips and resources for families, as well as to answer questions.

Self- Care

Taught by Dr. Latoya Key, Principal, The Metropolitan High School

  

Families will be invited to discuss self-care, including self-care strategies. We will explore the definition and characteristics of self-care, how to acknowledge the need for self-care and the adverse effects of neglected self-care on self and family. In closing, we will discuss how managing self-care leads to healthy relationships and overall health.

NY Project Hope Online Wellness Groups are support groups that give us a time and place to talk about the emotional challenges and the stress of COVID.

Whether you’re feeling anxious or you’re struggling with a relationship, we have a support group that can help you cope.

Online Wellness Groups are open to everyone. Drop-in one day or come as many days as you like.
